Default Hi again guys/gals, i just wanted to let ya know

Hi again guys/gals, i just wanted to let ya know that after reading last week about the screen removal on the FAQ i decided to try it out becuase yes if you look close on a white background you can really see it. It gets annoying after awhile so i decided to remove it. i run my screen on the highest resolution because i like the sharpness of it. Oh i should of taking some before and after pictures and like they said i dont know what toshiba was thinking. The screen is magnificently brighter and shinier like those of a laptop. The "grainy" coating everyone keeps talking about is no longer there. I'm serious, and could never been any happier with my result. You can either leave the screen as is after you remove the toshbiba screen protector or put in one of those aftermarket screen protector like i did. I used the strong engineering and it worked perfectly. and one final thing. There is a disadvantage to all this. when you take out the protector the screen is so brite and shiny like that of those sony laptop that it gives off a bad glare. It gets worst outside like a reflection from a mirror. But who works outside with it anyways and anyway you couldn't see with it before taking it off rite. All in all i would do it again if given the choice. I just wanted to let ya know this for those of you thats decideing should i do it or not. this is based on my opinion i think as well as bunches of other people in this forum. It's so simple. I hope this helps ya out there on deciding on this mod project. thanks[thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

I would have to agree with everyone about the toshiba screen protector... Last night I took it off too! It was a bit difficult, but I figured since it was a used laptop, I wouldn't cry as much if something went wrong. So I picked away at a corner and also felt like I've been led astray, but sure enough somthing got picked up and I carefully and slowly pulled of the toshiba protection. It's pretty stiff and hazy and it does make a huge difference with screen brightness. It's slick like glass and glares like it too :) But I also put on a SE screen protector and have no ill effects. It is really worth thinking about (best part is, it removed scratches and dings and an imperfections the screen had before, so if you think you scratched it, you actually didn't, it's just the protection layer that's scratched)

Thanks again to the wonderful and daring people on this forum!
