Default In addition to TabTip.exe's characteristic memor

In addition to TabTip.exe's characteristic memory leak, I now have a new problem. Several days ago, the TIP started flashing the hourglass cursor whenever I move the pen over it. If I shutdown the process and restart it, the flashing slows dramaticly to one or two flashes per second. The flash rate then increases until it is nearly a steady hourglass, at which point the recognition slows down as well.

    ideas?

I've seen this a couple of times in the news groups but with no actual answer.

What is the resource usage like on the system? How does the resource usage compare when the tip isn't open?

Some have suggested upgrading to the latest version of the Wacom drivers but I don't know if that has resolved the problem for anyone. http://www.wacom.com/tabletpc/driver.cfm

    Worth a shot though.

If it's only just started happening then you can look at all the obvious stuff - has anything been installed recently etc. that may affect it. How about trying system restore back to when it was working (if you still have a valid restore point).

    Good luck.

Looking in the process list shows the TIP's usage to increase in proportion withthe flash rate. It nears 100% after long enough.

I can't recall what I installed (if anything) before it started. I have no System Restore points.

    I'll try the drivers.

It just sounds like there's some kind of conflict - good luck with the drivers.

    The drivers didn't help.

I uninstalled all the drivers completely as well, but the problem persisted when using just the mouse.
