I reckon that would work, surely. In case you have any doubt, why don't you give HP a call? :-)
I have a 100° viewing angle right now and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to get the display panel from a 160° machine and replace the 100°?
In theory if I had a 160° that had problems but the LCD was fine or I just bought one somewhere could I simply strip down the two machines as described in the service manual and leave the digitizers in and swap out without any software or hardware conflicts?
Again, just going through the steps in the TC1100 service manual until the end of page 5-20 and just swapping the display panels as described to that point, would that work?
TIA

I've done that before on a couple compaq laptops from the 90's...
Technology might have advanced a bit since then.
