Default I did a search for this problem and did not find

I did a search for this problem and did not find any threads. When I send the Tablet to Standby so that I can change the battery, after installing the battery, and touching the screen to go to the programs I was using, the Tablet actually reboots! What gives? According to the manual, should not the TabletPC come out of StandBy without rebooting? I am even losing the work I have been working on!

    Cheers,

    Hi again Gene,

There is a discussion about this
    http://tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/topic....chTerms=bridge

Note: about half-way down the page, Paulrr from Motion mentions that there is an issue with this on the M1200s.

    Hi Gene,

From your Buzz profile it looks like you have a 1300..correct??.. Once you go into Standby via the DBoard,Cntl Alt Delete, or power switch (programmed via the DB) the power LED should start blinking... You have up to 15 seconds to swap batteries.. the more Apps you have running the less time you have... Once you swap batteries the Power LED should still be blinking... Once you toggle the power switch you should come out of standby in about 3 seconds...

Try this... Go into standby... pop your battery out for a second or two reinstall and see if you can successfully come out of standby...

This statement concerns me: "touching the screen to go to the programs I was using, the Tablet actually reboots! " Check your process....

Thank you both for your replies! Paul, I will try what you are telling me and let you guys know the results and, yes, I do have an M1300. I was not going into Standby via the DBoard, control+alt+delete nor power switch! I was using the Windows XP Pro switch found in the Start menu! WN my gratitude for welcoming me back!

    Paulrr:

I sent you emails about this but I thought I should share the results of my "testing" with the Forum. None of the three approaches you sugested worked. The Tablet is still rebooting after sending it to Standby, under the three different approaches, and changing the battery! I waited for the Power light to blink and changed the battery in less than te 15 seconds but to no avail.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

If you are indeed following the process properly there may be an issue with your bridge battery... Best to call our support desk and work this through them...
