Yes---same thing happened to me. Exactly. I had to use the restore CD's and begin again. Be sure to install the service upgrade from the software installation after using the CD restores. Ask if you have questions---it was a frustrating experience.
Well, I have gotten myself into trouble!
I LOVE GoBack so I decided to load on my TC.
Now I am in a loop and can't boot to anything.
I only have a USB CD attached, and all the commands to get other boot options do not work.
I can't get it to boot to the CD to use the Compaq disks to try and get a a:Any ideas?

Yes---same thing happened to me. Exactly. I had to use the restore CD's and begin again. I finally got the system to go into bootable mode by repeatedly hittng the f8 button after during the loop. Had to try alot and then I got the place where you can boot up from another drive. (This is best I can remember). Be sure to install the service upgrade from the software installation after using the CD restores. Ask if you have questions, I will try to remember better, this was 6 weeks ago---it was a frustrating experience.
Thanks, I guess this will be my weekend "job". And things were going so well!quote:Originally posted by dog

I'll let you know how it goes.
What is "Go Back"? Why is it potentially dangerous?
thanks
GoBack is a great, more advanced restore program than what is in Windows XP. It is owned now by Roxie.quote:Originally posted by Gareth Sargeant

I used it in Windows 95 & 98 where it saved me many times.
Now it has turned on me.
