    Hey all,
To push the functionality of my tablet PC, I just downloaded WinDVD Platinum. I played with the settings a bit trying to get the best picture. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied but the Tosh's limitations are evident during quick action, heavy detail scenes when things get a bit choppy in video and audio. I'd like to know what experiences other people have trying to watch DVDs on their Toshibas and suggestions for tweaking the best performance. Thanks.:D

What kind of DVD drive are you watching from? PC Card, USB, USB2.0?

yes what drive? is it the PCMCIA card drive that you get with the rebate? because using the normal connection I get choppy display, but with the high speed, don't remember exact terminology, i get crisp rates, no choppy movies through powerdvd player

    Hey guys,
I'm using my PCMCIA slot to run a
    Sony DVD player PCGA-DVD 51.
This is a remnant from my PII Vaio Picturebook.
I suppose USB 2.0 may have better
transfer speeds. If that is all there
is to improving the quality problems then that's okay with me. If it had to do with the graphics card then I was going to be SOL. I'll have to see if I can pick up a cheap 2.0 USB drive somewhere. Still, even now, I'm pretty impressed the Toshiba has as good playback that it does. Thanks for the suggestion. Cheers. :D
