If you want 1400 x 1050, you need to get a Toshiba M200 or M205 (same machine, M205 is retail and non-customizable).
Currently, the M200/205 is the only tablet with greater than 1024x768 resolution.
Me: Nursing student constantly taking notes including medical abbreviations and nursing notes in class and the hospital.
What I want: Lightweight, convertible tablet PC, 60 GB, 512MB, wireless, 1400 x 1050, DVD/CD-RW.
Too much to ask? I sure hope not. Please help a sister out!:-)

Convertible = Toshiba or HP
1400 x 1050 = Toshiba M200
Lightweight? It's less than 5 lbs.
DVD/CD-RW? Not built-in, gonna need an external usb-one
512MB RAM? Go for 1GB RAM!
The Fujitsu Lifebook T4010 also matches those stats (the SXGA screen is being released this week), if you go to portableone.com you can already order one with exactly the stats you mention.
Fujitsu T4010. Lot's of good talk on this convertible. Take a look at http://www.laptopsinc.com/Merchant2/...tegory_Code=F3
I don't think the resolution is quite what you want though. People are very happy, nonetheless. Happy browsing! :)
Are you sure a Slate won't be better for you to carry around? YOu could get one with an added keyboard that you could connect when you got back to some base. The Slate would weigh at least a pound to two pounds lighter than a convertible and could give you longer battery life.
