Hello,

I just upgraded my hard drive. I was having issues before because of some viruses so I did not image my old drive to my new one.

I installed XP Pro SP2 and all the drivers I could find from acer's web site and my disks.

My tablet (the pen) does not work.

What am I missing? Shouldn't SP2 pick up the fact that it has the wacom drivers and automatically configure to TPC 2005?

You have to install the Tablet PC Operating system, use you restore CD's to put XP onto your tablet. The Tablet PC OS is actually a step above Pro, its Pro with the Tablet features in it.

So, to get SP2 to recognise the fact that you have a tablet you need to have the tablet OS in the first place. There are some quite extensive instructions somewhere on how to convert an MSDN version of the Tablet PC OS into an Acer One

I did some research and found a thread on how to create a Tablet PC install CD. Worked perfectly.

I couldn't use the Acer restore CDs because they are configured for a 60GB hard drive and my new one is 80GB. Now I didn't actually try it, but that is what I was reading in the forums.

I'm almost done rebuilding. Man, I didn't know I had this much software on this thing!!!! :-)
