Hi,
the Toshiba specification sheets say PC2700 DDR333. Off course you can use faster ram but the only effect would be a higher pricetag...
Hopefully that helped,
Sebastian
Hi- What kind of RAM can I put in the M200..? PC2100..? PC2700..? Thanks.

Look around for new RAM. On the Internet, prices can vary by 25% easily.
I just bought this
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...155-111&depa=0
I'm not too sure if the performance will be slower or remain the same or if it's even viable to keep one 256 stick in the m200 alongside the 1gb. I'm also not too sure if it'd take 1 stick ram the size of 1 gb
That ram should work, although the M200 has been known to be finicky, as in, it'll periodically crash with certain sticks of ram, even if its the exact ram recommended by Toshiba and the ram tests out completely fine with memtest and works great in other laptops. This happened to me and I ended up just having to get the ram exchanged for a different stick.
@Randyspawn:
Could you be more specific with your experiences? I plan on "ram"ming up my (potential) M200 soon after purchase; and liked the price on Newegg.com
Where did you get your ram?
Was it a consistent problem, or work for a while and quit?
When you exchanged, did you have to exchange for a completely different brand, or just a different stick of the same brand?
...etc...
Thanks!
I bought the exact same thing several months ago and it works great. No problems whatsoever.quote:Originally posted by cnimh
