If you wish to have pressure sensitivity in the adobe applications, you need to download the Wacom penenabled driver from their support site:

I purchased a gateway M275 a couple weeks ago and so far have been very impressed with it as a productivity tool.
I have been disappointed with problems that i am having with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The pressure sensitivity options in both programs are not available!!! Does anyone know what gives?
Perhaps there is a third party driver that will jumpstart my setup. My father had purchased the same tablet a number of months ago, and ran into the same problem with Corel Draw.
Has anyone else had success with pressure sensitive brushes/pens in illustrator, photoshop, or CorelDraw?
thanks for your time!

Worked Like a Charm.
Thanks a million!
Here's another one for anyone out there:
I have read through some of the posts on this site. Seems like the tablets work by way of a "digitizer" that is behind the LCD. What is a digitizer? Is this the device that has varying levels of pressure sensitivity? How does the pen work on my M275? Doesn't seem like there is a battery in there...
This one is no ruch and not too important.
