I was VERY happy with the Compaq, except that I found it too sluggish.

I love the speed and the power of the Toshiba - but it is heavier and bulky.

The form factor and weight of the NEC (based upon photos and reviews) looks so appealing.

My major concern is how the 933mh pentium NEC tablet will perform under the tablet platform.

I realize that it will not have the power of the Toshiba, but will it be closer to the Compaq or the Toshiba?

    Any comments will be appreciated.

I believe the closest to the NEC is the Fujitsu in both performance and form factor. The Fuji has more features, but I like the simplicity of the NEC.

The Compaq has won the innovation design award and seems to be the popular selling tablet, and also has the most pen and performance problems. It's my least favorite device.

The NEC will further define the TPC's use in narrow vertical markets. That's good for the verticals, bad for Mainstream. But then, its not a matter of "if TPC's will take off, it's a simply matter of when".

There's a huge difference between us and the Fujitsu: weight.

They've already taken off. Most of the market just hasn't realized it yet. Business Week just wrote about it.

By the way, did you see what Bill Gates is holding? http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/i...oadband-lg.jpg
