Well, I took the plunge! I am writing this on my new TC1000. After waiting until I knew more about the NEC and reading everything here, I called CDW well after what should have been last call for FedEx. Nonetheless, at 10:30 this morning my new dream machine arrived.I've been playing with it on & off all day. Got the 60G model! First impressions? Love at first sight. I've dreamed about this product for more than 10 years! The handwriting is pretty impressive, although perhaps not good enough to use to take notes in a meeting. I'll try the ink over the weekend. This paragraph took about 10 to 15 minutes. More soon! Gotta go play!

Give it a few days, you'll consider giving up typing meeting notes forever. All my meeting notes are now handwritten, and I take the tablet with me in Slate mode (keyboard detached) to every meeting I attend now. I only wish there was some sort of small handle I could carry it by instead of carrying it like a book. The handwriting recognition isn't perfect, but it has forced me to start writing a little slower and cleaner. Once I did that, I found the HR was much closer to 100%.

Welcome to the club, we're sending directions for the secret handshake.

smiley, after a few days, you'll learn to do editing with the pen as well. It isn't as hard as you would think, just a few new things to learn. Mostly just select the text that wasn't recognized well and re-write it. Welcome to you too!

The tablet took a while to re-program the way I make the letter k. Once it had updated my brain everything worked smoothly. It's now training me to make capital I's.

Welcome to all the new folks! Spend lots of time with your tablet, and you will get better fast! My handwriting has gotten 100% better in the 2+ months since I got this tool!
Also spend lots of time on this site, it will teach you a lot, plus give you a place to share what you learn with others.
