Hi Blakey, Bernard.

Yes the M1400 has a small fan the vent is on the same side as the pen, and i think it draws the air in through the speaker holes at the bottom.

Bernard, if you are using the LE1600 i think i read about a BIOS update some where that sorted it.

I use Notebook Hardware control on mine and it keeps an eye on the temp etc, and also puts the temp and CPU speed in the notifications area by the clock in the bottom right corner.

I have NCH set to dynamic control for both AC power and battery.

When i tried WOW last night it was running at about 57 to 60'c.
I think during the summer ill strap a 9inch desk fan to the back of mine to keep it cool :-)

Hi Kev,

I use Notebook hardware control too. Set to dynamic.
With AOE the temp can go as high as 80° +, well so it says. My Motion man tells me it is not very reliable...
There is no CPU update for the fan as yet.
