If you use Firefox as your browser, there is an enhancement called "downloadTHEMall!" that does this. Great for mining large numbers of files linked from a page.
I have 3 textbooks this semester that I can log onto a site for full access to, but don't always have an internet connection. Does anyone know of any way to do this? Any way to copy the target to a link plus the next two links that follow in a tree of links? Does flashgot do this? I think this could be beneficial to many of us if we can figure this out.

great, I'll give it a try and report back in case anyone is interested or does a search in the future[xmas]
Search download.com for "offline browsing". There are a number of apps that do this.
I tried downthemall and got a bunch of files that I couldn't figure out how to open I attached one so that others can see. I'll try TabPCMan's suggestion.

If I remember correctly, AskSam has a program called SurfSaver. I think you can tell it how deep into the website it should save. It can also save the pages of all the links.
I used it for quite a while. I hope that my memory is working okay.
AskSam is at: www.asksam.com

I use HTTrack Website Copier. Lots of options to control how much of the site is downloaded. Very functional overall. Best of all, it's free!
