What would you like to know? I'm using Thunderbird and I'm very satisfied.
Is anyone using Firefox and Thunderbird? Firefox is a great program.
Would like info from anyone who is using Thunderbird.

Are there any known issues with Thunderbird? Did it integrate well?
I am using firefox and occasionally use thunderbird. What is the problem with it?
i use firefox, but sadly i'm to microsoftized to stop using outlook
I use Thunderbird for my e-mail. I like it very much, especially becauase I use IMAP e-mail and Outlook just sucks when it comes to handling IMAP. The only problem I have with Thunderbird is on the tablet you have to manually open the TIP, the floating button doesn't appear for any of its text entry fields.
I've dumped Outlook/IE entirely and am using Firefox and Thunderbird for business and home. Our president also switched.
So far no big issues at all. I do notice that Firebird sometimes does not close completely after shutting down (it remains an active process in Task Manager) but that's due to one of the extensions I've plugged in... just not sure which one.
Thunderbird is just as good as Outlook for email handling. I sometimes get a crash when I use the address book, but it's been rare: maybe three times in the past three months.
The big plus for using Thunderbird instead of Outlook is that TB is not the resource hog that Outlook is. On a tablet, keeping your memory available for programs and graphics is essential, so bloated code is not welcome.
I'm using Franklin Covey Tabletplanner for scheduling, so that replaces the Outlook calendar.
Our company had so many problems with Exchange that we gave up trying to share calendars and contacts with Outlook. We're writing a custom in-house app for client management now. Anyway, my point is that suddenly Outlook didn't seem all that necessary.
For Sean,
What is Outlook's problem in handling IMAP mail? I port my AOL mail into OE and do not know that I am having a problem.quote:Originally posted by SeanWest

Please, tell me more...

You could go the whole hog and use sunbird for the calender. I have sunbird which uses shared calendars from an internal webDAV server, which has the advantage I can see it on my Macs as well.quote:

Until GoBinder syncs with Thunderbird, I'll be sticking with Outlook. I use the drag email to task and appt too much.
