Default Has anybody tried booting 5020 directly from a U

Has anybody tried booting 5020 directly from a USB flash-drive/memory-key or SD/Sony card/stick? - does 5020 support this? - does it only work with particular USB flash-drives/memory-keys or SD/Sony memory cards?

Say hard drive failed (and you put a blank new one in), no docking station, and external USB/Firewire CD/DVD/diskette not available - it would be nice to have a prepared USB flash-drive/memory-key or SD/Sony memory card containing bootable version of one of the following in order of preference:

    1) Copy of Fujitsu's bootable(?) recovery CD on at least 1GB USB bootable flash-drive or SD/Sony memory card
    2) Copy of bootable XP CD on at least 1GB USB bootable flash-drive or SD/Sony memory card
    3) Windows XP boot (MS's six-diskette version) on USB flash drive or SD/Sony memory card
    4) Windows ME boot diskette files on USB flash drive or SD/Sony memory card

...Last two would still need to somehow access and copy XP or Fujitsu install kit from somewhere (eg. USB CD/DVD drive).

Failing that, how easy is it to setup a server to get 5020 BIOS's boot-from-LAN to run and load one of the above?

Otherwise, swapping notebook hard drive to another CD-endowed notebook and getting minimum CD-driver-enabled bootup on it (eg. SYS C: from expanded Windows ME boot diskette) for accessing and copying XP CD install, etc. is painful, and could force those alternate boot remnants (eg. Primary FAT partition) on the notebook hard drive returned to 5020 for XP install.

I realize that it is probably possible to boot a blank-hard-drive 5020 directly from external USB CD/DVD drive but that is obviously less handy than a USB 1GB flash-drive/memory-key or SD/Sony memory card.

Has anybody tried this yet (booting from flash memory)? If an external drive is the only viable option to perform a restore, which drive do you guys recommend? Thanks!
