Default Hi all, I'm planning to order my T4010 on Mon

    Hi all,

I'm planning to order my T4010 on Monday and want as much information I can get before I do. I've seen the reviews here:

    http://www.pcpro.co.uk/reviews/64777...ens-t4010.html

    and here:

    http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/hardwar...075030p,00.htm

Does anyone know of any others?

Well, the PCPro review is certainly NOT encouraging. They say:

"The transparent layers over the screen to allow for pen input reduce pixel definition to some extent, brightness a little and viewing angles quite considerably: the overall effect is of a notebook screen circa 1999."

Kinda stinks, if it is in any way true.

    Can someone clarify:
I thought that the T4010 came with the same Boe Hydis screen found on the Motion M1400 ??? True or False???
If true, how can the viewing angles be reduced???

    Thanks!

    Hi aamsel
In one of your old post you side that you will upgrade the HardDisk from 40GB to 60GB 7200rpm. can you please tell me how you did the upgrade, was it easy to do that?
    thanks

I have not done it, because I do not as yet have a T4010, but, there are two ways:
1.) Replace the drive and restore original software load
2.) Use Ghost to "clone" the original drive to the new drive. This is easier by either using an adapter to put the notebook IDE on a standard IDE cable in a desktop PC, or using a USB-2 external enclosure.

I thought you'd have your T4010 by now. You mentioned in another post that you had it on order from Portable One. Did that not work out?

    Don't have it ordered yet.
Nothing to do with P1, they are great!

    Just me, and indecision.

It is easy if you have done it before.
If you have never done it, I am not sure that I can say that it is easy to do.
Try to find a thread that gives the entire process step-by-step.
Find the procedure for any notebook.
It will be the same or similar for the T4010.

I never upgraded a HD in a laptop before. I need to know if the HD is easy accessible in the T4010 or no. until know I don’t know where is the Hard disk bay. In other words do you have an idea where the Hard disk bay in it. is it in bottom of the computer?? so have to take two screw or I have to take all the bottom of the computer off or its under the keyboard??!!!
Any one have any idea ?????

Call Fujitsu support and ask them.
    They will tell you,
    then post their reply.
