Looks sweet.
here's my setup...
Acer C303XMI (sp2)
I take notes with OneNote and Journal

ive rolled the cord up so that it only sticks out about 5 inches from the end of the tablet. Clarity and sound levels are much better than the other two mic's i tried (the internal one and a headset one)
Looks sweet.
To high priced for me. I use a wireless headset mic, it works great and I'm not tied to my PC.
Northern Rebel,
Is your wireless Bluetooth. What headset & microphone are you using?
dpsforjesus,
Your microphone looks cool, particularly for lecture environments.
I'd probably want it in my kit bag.
lol, I'd really get the weird looks of awe if I pulled out my tablet and that microphone for a lecture :-) (might be worth it ;) )
Rebel... I just use mine to record lectures... im looking for a wireless headset to listen to music...
Jim its not Bluetooth. It has a transmitter that plugs into the mic and spkr jacks. I do home inspections as a side job and I use mine for dictating details while inspect. This often involves crawling in attics, crawlspaces and other areas where carrying anything is complicated. I've had this for a couple of years so the technology isn't new, but it works for me. I dont know the model number but it was Logitecs best unit at the time. It would be nice to find a similar setup in Bluetooth. When this unit dies thats probably be what I look for.

lol, thats true.
Thanks Rebel,
I have used two BT [Motorola & Logitec] headsets. I like the functionality. There has been some problems with my BT keyboard if the headset is connected. I've posted my comments on that.
dpsforjesus & Tracy,
In your lecture halls, does the microphone easily pick us words spoken by others, i.e., is it omni directional. What a way to capture lectures. Do professors have a problem with being recorded?

this mic does not pic up hardly ambient noise. most of my lectures are taught in smaller rooms, less than 50 people...
the surface area of this mic is about the size of a nickel. i point it upward about 20 degrees and towards the middle part of the room.
a nice feature about it is that it can be aimed in any direction and can be moved all over the place. its got one of those halfway stiff cords made out of metal(forgive me if i dont remember exactly what its called).
my professors seem to really appreciate the technology. One of my neuro prof's wants a class ''note taker'' for everyone else... she really likes the tablet. I have 40GB of monthly bandwith on my domain, and plan on hosting notes(converting to pdf form) and audio portions of the lectures this coming semester(thread coming soon)
