Have you tried calling Motion? If there has been a recurring problem with the support bars, I bet they will be more than happy to help you out. They have great customer support.
I've been using the HTKB for about 6 months (bought in mid-May). I'm the sales manager for my company so I use it for meetings on a regular basis. Lately, the support has been collapsing when my tablet is attached and slamming it onto the table (or floor when I was sitting in the airport!). I'm completely embarrassed when this happens because it makes a huge crashing noise. It seems like the tab that's used to release the support (the one that you slide to change the angle) is not "catching" the bar very well anymore. There appears to be no damage and I have always been very careful not to pull it up too hard.
I'm very unhappy with this and am afraid my tablet won't take much more before it breaks. Has anyone else experienced this -or- does anyone have a fix? I tried searching the forums but did not find anything.
Thanks in advance,
Christine

Has not happened at all to me- always seems to click into place well and also always feels very definite about the release mechanism- not like it was near giving way. I would definitely see about sending in for repair or replacement. Better put a pillow in the drop zone in the meantime.
Hello Christine,
the exact same thing happened to me. It seems that there is some kind of plastic strip attached to the release tab that got loose on my htkb and caused the tab not to close properly. I also couldn't get that thing out (and didn't want to do something to the keyboard that could void my varanty) so I sent it in to my reseller and I got a new one without any problems.
I'd suggest (like John and Rob), that you contact either your reseller or Motion directly before the tablet gets damaged eventually...

Hello,
Ditto what Rob said call support.
Paul
I called support and they said they would take care of it. You guys are right, Motion does have great customer support.
Thanks for the advice! :)
Christine
Well...I went ahead and took mine apart...completely.
Found that plastic strip mentioned above and removed it. It has never fallen over again. Of course, by posting this, I have probably voided my HT Keyboard warrantee! :D
