Are they set to bridged? If not, are they on the same subnet (ie, both on 192.168.x.x). Other than that couldn't see a reason why they wouldn't work
I'm trying to utilize my tablet in Internet Connection Sharing for my Xbox but I can't get the wireless and Ethernet active at the same time. Is there an override of some kind that will let me use both at once?? THanks.

When i push the wireless button on my tmc102ti, the wireless activates and Ethernet deactivates.
In network connections, can you not enable the currently disabled network or is it the same network card with two different outputs? I don't know the Acers, but windows XP can do it if Acer hasn't prevented it doing it in hardware.
technically yes, in practice you might struggle? Why not just run a cable from your router to your box?
Because it is a wireless network - i.e. too far.
Hmm, unless it is a hardware limitation of the c102 it should be possible. I have done it with my c300, bridging a wired connection to an ad-hoc wireless connection.
I believe there is a hardware limitation - when you activate the wireless the wired Ethernet actually completely disapears from Device Manager in Windows. Not disabled - it's actually gone!
If anyone has some kind of BIOS or software fix for this please let me know.
Hi nFinity,
I may be able to help here.
When you say wireless, are you referring to 802.11a/b/g? If so, that is Ethernet. Anyway, neither wired, nor wireless connections are normally dropped when you "plug in" your network cable or connected to a WAP. You can ascertain this by opening a CMD window and running ipconfig. This will give you connectivity information. To get details run "ipconfig /all."
I am able to have either or both connection with my Motion M1400. This is not unique to the Motion, computers in my shop and computers that I work on behave in the same way.
When I'm clear on what's not working, I think I can help you. Whatever that problem, it should be addressable within the O/S as opposed to a hardware switch or the BIOS.
Let me know...
Nope when I hit the wireless button, wireless comes on, wired dissapears completely. Not in ipconfig, nowhere.
