I am trying to get a backup routine going. I can't seem to get windows backup to recognise the CD drive. It will tell me I have an invalid file name no matter what I put in. Any suggestions? I installed sp2 and started getting numerous problems so I uninstalled it, but things aren't back to normal yet. Any backup routine or program to suggest? Paperport is a very important to my rountine and I need the files adeguately backed up.

You said CD drive. Of course you meant CDR/CDRW.

I do not think the OS backup utility will accept a "CD" drive as a valid backup device. I use it for backup to a USB hard drive that has drive letter F: The backups are uneventful.

You’ll find some backup info in my post at this thread: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/to...26&whichpage=3

If indeed you have entered the drive letter of a valid “write” device, with recordable media, then there is some other problem. I’d test with a file to your hard drive.

Let us know and help will be forthcoming…
