Default I took delivery of a shiny new TC1100. First tim

I took delivery of a shiny new TC1100. First time I turned it on it was fine...went throught the setup process fine. After the setup (still first boot) I was looking around and I tried the software setup utility from programs menu. The tablet froze and was unresposinve for quite a while so I held the power swtich off for a few seconds and it turned off. I left it to charge.

Now I get home and it refuses to boot. The power button turns on ok and the hard drive spins up but nothing happens, nothing on the screen, hard drive not churning/loading anything.

Tried on AC with and w/o battery. No go.

I had a similar problem with my laptop a while back, but it was fixed through warranty. Now it happens again I though perhaps it's more of a widely known problem.

    Anyone? Please.

What about the warranty procedure? Does the call center work on the weekend?

    Thanks in advance,

    JPB

What shows on your screen after to BIOS load?
Is there a message such as: "NTLDR is missing?"
There should be some message on the screen. From that, one can begin to diagnose the problem. You can also boot from you Windows XP CD and do an "in-place" repair [2nd repair option], which can resolve your problem. The improper shut-down possibly damaged your NTFS [Windows NT File System].

There is nothing on the screen at all. As if the BIOS does not even initialize. Power distribution is ok.

Sounds like you went into standby instead of powering off. You need to hold the power switch for about 5 - 7 seconds before the power will turn completely off. If the power switch is blinking green, then you are in standby mode. The wireless light will not turn on unless you are in the operating system.

I'm afraid the power is not blinking, it hasn't since I switched it "off".
