the C3500 is now available at walmart. It costs $1,278.00 and is instock. I was only able to find it online I checked 2 stores but they weren't available. Check it out

This may he a real sign that tablets are going mainstream at last. If average Janes and Joes can see it at Walmart they may not be afraid to try it out.

The only problem is that this is not a main stream system. It needs a lot of tweeks. If it wasn't for these forums I probably would have returned mine. The average person wants to take it out of the box and use it. This laptop needs TLC. They should really start a forum on their web page and put notification of such in the box.

FWIW, I checked with my local Wal-Mart. They are only selling the C3500 online they told me. Not available in stores.

Finding the same thing with some of the other retailers that are supposed to carry it. Only available online.

Seems to me this one type of product (TabletPC) that for it to really take off in the marketplace, it must be able to be seen and tested out in person, with reasonably knowledgeable sales people.

I'm not referring to the techno-gadget oriented crowd that posts on these and other forums like this, but the average joe...

Anyway, just my 2¢....[8D]

What tweaks? I set up a friends and it was just like any other TPC to set up? The hardest part was finding the manual......which is digital, on the TPC ;)

i just got one from CC online and out of the box i had the problem with hanging at the login screen
luckily i had read about it here first [8D] and was able to get and apply the patch.
