BTW I highly recommend just idling in the chatroom, don't just join and leave if no one's there. People will come and go so you'd want to pipe up as someone joins (myself and Vladimir are discussing OneNote at the moment). ;)
Let's give it a try:
server: irc.dynamix.com
channel: #tabletpc
port: 6667
I noticed another thread (http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/to...TOPIC_ID=14483) on the topic, but it kinda turned into a trainwreck.
This might be a nice place to idle and meet other tablet users. If you are looking for an irc client software, try http://www.mirc.com/get.html or http://www.trillian.cc/downloads/. Also, here's a FAQ in case you have no clue what IRC is: http://www.mirc.com/irc.html. :)
See you online...

maybe u should put a topic on the actual channel?
Is live chat really necessary? I mean I really appreciate the input and the comments, but how much could we actually talk about?!?!?
May i suggest using a larger network, such as efnet?
pk, you could suggest it but what are the benefits? Aren't you allowed in your IRC client to specify the server name?
anal, who knows, and it's not limited to tablets. Just idle in there for awhile and see what comes up!
More reliable.
How does one use Trillian to connect ot IRC? Every time I try it says "Connection Failed" can someone tell me the exact steps?
Could you post a couple of times and subjects for discussion? That might make it more likel;y that we'll try to participate at the time of a topic that we find interesting.
Cool, I'll chill in there, I'm always open for IRC chat. :D
