Default I have a Fujitsu LT 233 w/ an indoor screen, loa

I have a Fujitsu LT 233 w/ an indoor screen, loaded w/aviation GPS software and no backup disks. I need a transflective/outdoor screen. Any suggestions? Screen swap? Hard drive swap? Thanks, Philip.

I have the c-500 with the transflective display, and I use it with WXworx and GPS, It is unacceptable in my opinion. It is not readable in bright sunlight. Don't bother to replace, just purchase one of the new tablets, the displays that I have seen are much brighter. The Motion 1400 and 1300 have great displays, the tc1100 has a mcuh better display than the C500 TFT. I don't know how the Fujitsu newer units perform. Anyone out there have experience with the Fuji units outdoors?

here is a link to some photos I took with my ST5011D in bright sun...using the fujitsu screen cover... I changed to strong engineering cover and it is much clearer... you cant beat the fujitsu outdoor screens...at a medium price point..

Thanks for the replies, guys! I was under the impression that the LT c500 had a coating on the screen enabling an indoor/outdoor comprimise solution. (not truly transflexive). Is this not true? Also, I cannot afford a new tablet or $2000. for new software, so I have to keep my unit for now. Thanks again, Philip.

I own the FTF version of the LT-C500 and it is not suitable for use in direct sunlight. I don't know anything about a coating on the screen either. I do use mine as a carputer and for GPS. Mine is in a van and is recessed in the dash to allow some shading, not ideal all the time but I'd say usable 85% of the time.

I have the TFT in my car and believe a non-reflective coating/screen protector of some sorts would help a bunch.
