    Hello Everyone

I'm a digital artist who's computer happens to be on the other side of the world. I'm thinking about buying a tablet PC but I'm not sure which one is right for me. I've been hearing alot about the Toshiba 1100 and the M200. What can I expect from these?

I use Open Canvas, Painter, and PhotoShop. Does anyone have any experience using these with the tablet pc? Any suggestions as to which PC is better and where I can buy one thats rather cheap?

    Thank you for your help

Drawing with the pen does take a little getting used to. Artists with whom I have discussed this say it takes them about ten hours to be comfortable (none had used a computer before). Once they get comfortable, they say they do some of their best work with the tablet.
The Toshiba has the highest resolution screen. The Acer is the least expensive (about $1,000) and seems quite adequate for art applications.

There are many threads here that discuss this topic. This one: http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/to...?TOPIC_ID=3610 has some EXCELLENT examples of artwork done by our members. They should give you a good idea of what is possible.

averatec is no good for artists because it has a different digitizer that won't give you pressure sensitivity with programs like photoshop

I did a little surfing on this site and found alot of different tablets that would be really good, so i think i should specify exactly what i need.

Pressure sensitivity (not crucial but its nice to have)
a way to hook up to another computer to transfer files
size (im not sure about it, my wacom is a 6x8 so generally anything in that range)
Something i can use just about anywhere
    Good display
    Speed
Price range 0-1500 or so (we're aiming for 1200 US or less)
    Keyboard (Not Nessecary)

Thats all i can think of for now

1200 US or less is going to pop you into the refurbished only category, I'm afraid.

All of the artwork on this entire site was done using an M200.
