I booted up MS Word today and discovered that now wheverever I click, I have that little green-corner button behind my cursor with word "suggestions," even for words that were typed in, and are spelled correctly. This little feature is of course nice when I'm writing with my pen, but it is downright distracting when I'm just trying to type a paper.

Where can I turn this "feature" off? And how did it suddenly appear? Is this part of an automatic update? Can I roll back to some earlier state?

Ah, figured it out!

If you use the pen to input text, then this "feature" gets turned on, but only for that Word document. I still don't know how to turn it off, but solved the problem by exporting the doc as an RTF and then opening the RTF.
