Cool story, thanks for sharing. Tablets are certainly a great tool for artists, always neat to see how well they take to them.
I just wanted to share what I thought was a cool tablet story. I work at a school where the students have tablets. I was working on one today when I noticed the background was a hand drawn pic that was signed. Apparently the student is the granddaughter of a very famous comic artist. He was in town for a convention and thought the tablet was so cool he drew something for her. Sorry I can't say who, out of privacy for the family. I just thought it was neat to see an old school comic guy warming to new school technology so easily.

The artist of Over the Hedge is an m200 user. He's posted here a couple times.
whoa, Trev! thanks for the plug!...weird to be reading along and suddenly see myself referred to.
Yeah, I draw the "Over the Hedge" strip for United Features Syndicate...my M200 has become my all-the-time, everywhere-I-go pc. This was unexpected, but its charms are just too compelling.
This is the syndicate website for "Hedge":

Every strip, dating back to roughly January (I gave myself the tablet for Christmas), was squeezed out of my tablet.

No problem. I loved reading over the hedge until my paper stopped carrying it. I pop by the syndicate's site and check it out every now and then.
Have you looked at another comic drawn by an m200 user, www.gamersgonebad.com ? It's enjoyable especially if you know anything about the gaming scene.
though somewhat unrelated - I am NOT famous but hope to be someday ;)
take a peek at my work, architectural designs and illustration all done on Tablet PC's:
