I am wondering if there a Linux OS that has been successfully installed on a Tablet PC and has the pressure sensivite screen drivers for it. Also if there is an linux software for inking and handwriting recognition..

Linux works fine on an HP TC1100 with pen support. (I've not actually tested the pressure sensitive aspect but it should be working.) Just do a google search for websites (including mine) which describe it.

As for linux inking software: there is jarnal http://www.dklevine.com/general/soft...000/jarnal.htm
but I don't know of any handwriting recognition stuff. There is some limited maths symbol recognition software (ffes) http://www.cs.queensu.ca/drl/ffes/ but I was not particularly impressed by it.

Setting up dual boot is pretty standard with most modern linux distributions - its no different on a tabletpc.
