    I dont want something that runs on batteries, and Id prefer higher dpi and color but it seems perfect for scanning text books otherwise.

    I just called docupen and they said august 15th a new version with a rechargable battery will be out that can last 500 pages!

    Very cool ^_^ Did they say anything about color scans or higher resolution?

    EDIT: Are you saying it has a bigger memory and rechargable battery, or just a longer battery which lets you scan more that's rechargable?

    500 on the battery if you dump the other stuff. Color way later.
