Default I am new to tablets, and am not a very computer

I am new to tablets, and am not a very computer literate person, but I am trying to figure out a couple of things. If you know the answers, please explain in kindergarden computer level. First, I sell insurance, and I have to email apps to my email from our work server. Then I "print" them to journal, which makes them a jnt file and I can write on them. Then I meet with prospects, fill out the apps with pen and email them to underwriters. They go to underwriters in .jnt form, and the companies don't want to download whatever readers it takes to read .jnt, so I have to manually type the info into my other computer and email in pdf form. This is a whole lot more work than it should be all around, and there wust be a better way, so any suggestions? I like to save time and make things easy, so any help will be appreciated. Thanx.

There are pdf writing programs including from Adobe. look around the board for threads on it. You use the pdf print driver the same as the journal print driver. I do it to send things to clients all the time.

i saw a post about this on page 5 i think, but i tried to download a program and got an error that stated "create a key to AFPL ghostscript failed" I don't know what that means, but I don't believe the download worked. Any ideas on where the proble would come from? I am looking for something simple. I have Adobe reader, is the program you speak of part of that program? How would I go about setting it up? Thanx again.

Acrobat Reader only allows you to read, not write, .pdf files. For that you need to buy the full Adobe Acrobat program or a printer driver type substitute. I happen to use Jaws PDF Creator available at http://www.jawspdf.com/ (got it as a special offer) but there are a number of free alternatives.

    Hope this helps.

You mentioned that they don't mind receiving the documents via e-mail, but they won't install any new software to read it-

From Journal, you could try just exporting the completed forms to .mht .mhtml (File:Export as:). Those should open with their web browser.

I often want to annotate .PDF files; I hope Adobe ink-enables their program sometime soon (a free update would be nice). Its possible now, but very slow using the "pen" tool.
