Hmm... hadn't really thought about that, but that is really a pretty cool idea. I don't know of any plans that Microsoft has for that type of feature, but it is a cool and useful idea.
Anyone else find they have to rotate the tablet in their lap or desktop to write in the TIP? Because most of us write at an angle, the fixed nature of the screen-vs-tip is counterintuitive. When writing on paper, we just rotate the paper. But in the paper model there's no program running behind it that you have to look at skewed.
To truly make the Tablet PC writing experience "natural," we should have the ability to rotate any handwriting entry space, whether TIP or Write Anywhere lines, to accomodate our style. This would be especially important for lefties, who often have to develop a claw-like hand stance to accomodate forms and things.
Any plans for freeing the TIP from its perpendicularity???

I just rotate my whole tablet. It just makes sense to me. If I'm writing a lot, its usually in One Note, so the interface isn't too complicated.
As a Southpaw I have to agree being able to set the tip to appear at an offset angle would be great. I manage but it would be nice
Calligrapher (the full program that PocketPC's Transcriber is based off of) has had the ability to select an angle for writing since, well, I think since it came out at least 4-5 years ago. All you do is point a little arrow to the direction you want "up" to be, and you can then write at the perpendicular angle to it. Works quite well.
D.
Perhaps this will be ready for Vista?
