I downloaded it (along with Dashboard and Bluetooth), but since it didn't self install I didn't fuss with it. Anyone care to explain to an old geezer how to upgrade the BIOS or do I have to RTFM?
Has anyone upgraded their BIOS yet. Whats does it correct or improve?

Under your Start Menu you should have a folder called Motion resources or something like that. Look for the winplash utility. Once you have that running, the bios update is pretty simple.
The bios upgrade using the winplash is the most painless bio upgrade I have ever done. Very simple and easy.
Any improvements?quote:Originally posted by EBPMAN

No idea. No release notes or anything. I can't find any difference after the upgrade. After rebooting it mentioned that new hardware was found but was so fast I couldn't click it open to find out what it was installing.
If installed on an M1200 it adds wide angle viewing.quote:Originally posted by dewst

Kidding [)]
I received an email from Motion tech support stating that it improves performance with attached peripheral devices. I'm assuming this means USB and firewire.
How about performance with the usb fingerprint reader/bluetooth? On the eval unit I occasionally lost those pieces of hardware after hibernation.
I really can't answer that as I've never had problems with my biometrics and I don't use the bluetooth.
