Im using MS Outlook 2003 and although it has ink support I cant write ink entries into the Journal tool whcih would be very handy as I want to use it to record the day's events. Am I missing something here or can't it be done?

Ink support in Outlook right now is limited to e-mail only. No tasks, calendar or journal support unfortunetly. This is an often requested feature though... so we might see something to bring that kind of support in the future. While it won't solve your journal problem, you might want to look at Tablet Enhancements for Outlook (TEO) from Einstein Technologies. (http://www.einsteinware.com/Product....oduct_id=TEO10)

Before Outlook 2003 came along, installing the ms tabet pack provided a link to outlook from inside TPC Journal (as opposed to Outlook journal tool) which allowed saving ink to outlook contacts, tasks, appointments, emails, etc. Outlook XP (2002) and MS Journal work very well together. While this functionality is unsupported in OL2003 it can be made to work. Here's a link:

Create a blank journal file on the desktop as a templet and link it from outlook. This copies the blank journal into Outlook and the contents are independently saved. I really don't know where the file is kept but this has worked very well for me as an alternative to Plan plus.

Kwon, can you explain in more detail how you did this? I dont see how to link a journal file from outlook.

I made a shortcut to the Journal Notes directory on the "other shortcuts" outlook bar. All the journal notes and templates are easily accessed from there.
