Ok so I will be in college and won't have all the time in the world for gaming, but I can see the oppertunity coming ONCE in awhile. How does the integrated chip handle games. I'm not looking for the absolute best performance I just want to play games even on a low setting.

    How do *NEW* games handle?

    *bump*

Also interested in this, because I'm interested in a c303 (and praying that I'll get one without any hardware quirks). Does intel xtreme graphics 2 play new games (say, max payne 2) passably well? Or will the 32mb nvidia on the toshiba m200 be much better in this respect?

It's a bit confusing because supposedly xtreme graphics 2 can allocate up to 64mb of system memory to vram, which is twice what the nvidia geforce has. Then again, it's allocated ram, not dedicated vram, so there's a performance hit there. So has anybody tried to play new games on a c303 and how do they handle?

thats 64 with the base memory, if you mod it to 2gig or 1gig you should get more. It may run pretty good. DJpill would know better

Well I dont really plan on playing games on the Tablet. You might want to do a search and see what people with other laptops that have the XTreme Graphics compare to the Nvidia.

has anybody else attempted to play 3d games on their acer c303? Surely somebody has to have tried.

All I find about intel extreme graphics 2 is bad news... how horrible it's supposed to be in comparison with even a baseline video card... although even a 32mb nvidia is sub-par for baseline these days. It is supported by max payne 2, for instance, but I just want to know if it's playable.

Yup, for this reason I decided to go with the M200. Need the graphics.

Well, I play many games on mine, but seeing as I have just started uni, my budget hasn't really allowed for many new games, and I like some of the old ones anyway. But all the games I have played work great such as:
    Quake 3 ( & team arena)
    Red Faction (1&2)
    Diablo 2
    Jedi Knight 2
    SimCity 4
    Serious Sam (1 and 2)
    Republic: The Revolution

Because I don't use an external monit0r, I am playing on 1024x768, so it runs fine on that, haven't tried on higher resolutions though.

I have tried running Counter-strike - it runs very well, also the Unreal Tornament 2003 demo works fine. I have found that the intel graphics are surprisingly good.
