Vista Basic doesn't support tablet functions, only Home Premium and higher, may be your problem.
Hi guys.... i got a problem.
I recently got a used hp compaq tc4400 and it comes with Windows Vista. Well the problem is, I dont like Vista.... I mean..... its, um... well, thats not the point. The point is, when i tried to install xp tablet pc edition, it always give me an error (another stuff why i hate vista but oh well :D ). The fact is, i decided to return to vista. The problem starts now.... when i installed vista, it didnt install the handwriting system... i downloaded all the drivers in the webpage but it didnt install it yet.... please, what can i do??

toma: Do you have a set of restore discs for your 4400? You are trying to restore the original factory image on the hard drive...???

I doubt the 4400 shipped with Vista OEM.
