I recently phone-ordered the portege m200 from www.pcvideoonline.com for a pretty low price of 1799. The reason why it was so cheap was because the salesperson said it was a class A refurbished tablet, meaning it's never been opened. He said the tablets were refurbished because some company selling them went out of business and the units were sent to toshiba to be checked (never been used) and then pcvideoonline was able to acquire them. I asked him if the units still carried warranty. He claims they have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Given the price, I decided to take it. I also thought this company was pretty trustworthy given the 4/5 stars average on resellerratings.com. However, one day as I was looking at epinions.com, I noticed that they have a 2/5 star average. As I collected more information about the company, I realized that they have a very unscrupulous background (they tack on 4% insurance fees, advertise refurbished as new, do not ship on time, etc.). Then I began to get very nervous. I also discovered that Toshiba only gives a 3-month warranty for refurbished items. Does anyone know if I'm getting gipped on the warranty? Or would Toshiba really honor a 1-year warranty on the class A refurbished?
