I recently replaced the LCD in my 3500 by myself. At waht I remember as the same time the eraser side of my pen ceased to work - I hadn't used the erase in a few days before, so i don't know if it was broken before or not. My question is if a somehow incorrect or incomplete hookup of the digitizer would cause this problem or if it is more likely to be a faulty pen? I've since opened the unit back up and checked to make sure all of the connections are completely tight - It is also possible that this is a software problem but I've checked all the settings and drivers and will be formatting shortly so I can know for sure.

I'm guessing a bad pen. From how It understand the digitizer to word, it would be on or off. I think the eraser is a function the pen...

If the tip of the pen works, the digitizer is ok. The digitizer detects which way around the pen is, based on circuitry within the pen, so I would say you have a dud pen...

Just borrow someone else's, or drop by your dealer to find out.
