awww, silly me, I found the solution "Battery Aid" also from tc-one-thousand... somehow I thought it was the same as that IBM tool... everything works fine now, fan never comes on when reading pdf :)
I just bought a TC1000 that I need for university and now I want to lock the Mhz at 300 and the corevoltage at 0.8
I tried the IBM-Battery tool from tc-one-thousand, but the CPU Speed setting there doesn't seem to effect the cpu speed at all. When I have LongRun Monitor running I still see it using up to 1000Mhz when I do stuff. So what program do I need to lock the Mhz at 300 and where can I get it ?
