This PowerPad is like an extra battery, right? You charge it at home and then connect it to your tablet whenwever it runs out of power.

I was wondering if anyone here uses them? How big is the improvement to the overall battery life? Is it worth the extra $250-$450?

    Thanks,

Check the forums by doing a search, as the benefits and detriments of the PowerPad have been discussed numerous times. I currently have a PowerPad and have been very pleased with its performance and runtime. I just went to an Intel conference yesterday, used my Toshiba M205 all day at the conference with normal power settings and still had half a charge left on my PowerPad 120.

Do NOT buy a PowerPad on Ebay. I've bought several "new" and had to return, because even though they were "new", they hadn't been charged soon enough after manufacture, and were therefore dead. Also, the waranty for the PowerPad is very limited.
