HI, does anyone know that if we buying acer, it has the external cd-rom originally or we have to buy it separately?

The Ti models do not have the CD-DVD and Tci models do come with the external CD-DVD included. For example, the C111Tci comes with the external CD-DVD Rom.

Actually the C111TCi comes with a CDRW/DVD COMBO drive.

I know because it was really useful until I broke mine recently. :-(

I looked at buying another combo drive, there was a nice slim one for £90, not bad, needed external power but i use Alcohol 120% for CDs on-the-go as it were. Then I noticed that I could have a bulky DVD+/-RW USB2 Drive for £15 more, i.e. £105. I know I'm a portability freak and normally wouldn't consider a non-slim drive but this was too tempting, it's an 8-speed too and as I said, because I use Alcohol 120% for disks on-the-go it would just sit on my desk unles I were travelling seriously, in which case, there's no difference to me. Well, hopefully it arrived this morning. I haven't checked my post yet.

Oh, I remember spending twice that much on an early internal 6x4x24 CDRW drive. £200 for a Creative CDRW Blaster CD-Studio (the non-updated version that ran at 6x4x24 not the 8x4x32 revised version). No doubt in a year you'll be able to buy a 24-speed DVD+/-RW drive for the same amount I paid for my 8-speed. Makes me think, is there any point writing disks faster than the drives can read them back, I suppose so but if DVD reading is limited to 16x surely writing will have the same limitation? The interface maybe? SATA optical drive are just around the corner anyhow and SATA externall HDD are just starting to appear, well I might have to break my drive again after they have a price crash ;). Oh well, so much for buying a new pair of shoes this month.

The thing is that the web site i am buying my tablet from might made a mistake and posted CTi-G instead of TCi. I dont know if such model( CTi-G ) exists cus i could not find it in acer as well.. The problem is that i already purchased and when i looked back i noticed that it didnt have posted any optical drives. It might be just a mistake or the they forgot to write it down on the web site but i am concered about it and i am considering to cansel my order. eventually, i will call them and ask them personally but i wish also if anyone could give me some advices . Does anyone know of that model and if they come with cd-rw? Thanks

May I ask which website? Another possible way to check is to match the manufacturer part number. These part numbers can be checked on the various Acer websites.

For instance, in the US the part number for the C111Tci-g is LX.T270E.150 and same machine in the UK is LX.T270E.110 I believe. LX.T270E.112 in France.

You might review the website to see if it is listed.

ya the website is www.Franklincovey.com, i am not sure if it is the right decision to buy it from there, because it is very very expensive, mine is $1799 and i am not sure if it is included the external CD-rom, i am thnking if i should cancel the order, because i saw from other web site, they are less expensive than this one.

Franklin Covey didn't do a good job marketing this and it is not clear what is included.
Here are a couple other sites to check out.
