Intriguing. I wouldn't think the hide folders would be something that would affect this type of install.
If you have set your windows (and it's subfolders) to be hidden (i do this to keep c: nice and clean), and go to install/reinstall the penabled drivers, the drivers will not install correctly.
When you reboot you will get a "tablet not found" or similar message. It may mention "serial tablet not found" as well. Your wacom drivers will not work, and your pen won't work either. Basically, you will bork your pen, and will be forced to uninstall penabled drivers. Even worse, when u unistall back to regular drivers, you will lose pressure sensitivity in ALL applications.
So the trick is: unhide windows folders, install wacom penabled, reboot, then rehide windows folder.
