Not sure why this hasn't come up before. I picked up a few nice, wooden picture stands which work perfectly for a slate Tablet PC. You can get these at any homeware department store, from cheap ones at Wal-Mart or Target to more expensive ones at Pottery Barn. The one pictured here is a cheapie from Target, but it looks great on my desk, and works better than the plastic stand sent with my Motion M1300.
All I had to do is add some tape to the back to keep the stand from folding in on itself when you "dock" the Tablet. (Which is a problem with the Motion default stand, too!)
