Has anyone used PersonalBrain? I downloaded the trial and it looks interesting but am not sure how useful.
I used it a few years back and it worked well. It takes some getting used to because of all the relationships. There was a reason I stopped - I think (I really can't remember) that the program moved all of your files into its own folder. I didn't like that so I stopped. Don't know if the current version does that or not.
The concept is great for non-linear thinkers. It really enables you to have multiple access points to your files.

I've been using it for a couple of years. If you're a visual thinker and need to visualize the relationships vs describing on paper the relationships, you'll enjoy the application. And I've found using the TPC actually enhances the experience.

Do you find your files moved around - or forced into a single folder? I'm curious as to your experience. The concept is wonderful, but my recollection about file structure leaves me wondering.

the application sets up a "My Brains" directory on the C drive by default. The respective .brn files you create are automatically filed to that directory unless to put them elsewhere.
Sounds like your version had a mind of it's own...

Used it off and on for a couple of years.
In the end I was just as happy to keep my files in the typical hierarchical tree
even though I prefer to organize my thoughts and ideas in Mind Maps with Mind Manager
