Hello people,
Recently I have sent in my TC1000 for hard drive repair and Compaq installed a new hard drive instead becuase they could not fix the problem. I don't remember the original hard drive specs but I do know it was a Hitachi. The hard drive they installed for me is a Toshiba mk3021gas.

Can any of you tell me whether I should keep the Toshiba or ask them to reinstall a Hitachi hard drive. One other problem that I noticed is that the Toshiba hard drive is not silent. You can hear the noise when it is accessing files.

toshiba or hitachi, they are about the same to be honest.. Its not that much of a difference(if any ) between the two. . .
