Your best bet is to go to Crucial.com. We put memory upgrades in 100s of LE1700s and never had a problem using their memory. They will tell you how much you can install and which chips/speeds are...
The units we had were under warranty so I don't know the cost of the units. You can contact Motion Support at 1-866-322-9783, option 9 and they will be able to help.

We have purchased a few "new" CL900s that had been sitting for a while. They were unsold and had been on a warehouse shelf. When the customer got them the batteries were dead and had to be...
Definitely Windows 7. It is a much better OS, handwriting recognition is awesome. Your LE1700 will definitely support it.
Good luck!

I understand what you are saying about the single USB port. Otherwise, the F5v is clearly (to me) a much better overall device. Maybe using a vehicle dock to expand your available ports?
Also, I...
I would say "yes". What is the application for which you are using a tablet? What feature does the CL910 have that the F5v doesn't?

I guess I am jaded from past experience. The first thing that came to mind with Microsoft's announcement was the ill-fated Courier. Believe me, a Windows based tablet with better than an Atom...

I think there is a significant difference in the performance of the LE1600 because of the better processor. Also, with a SSD you can get increased performance. The 1.5Gb RAM memory is annoying but...

I'm not aware of anything but an HP TC1100 or similar and I know you are already familiar with that.
What is your budget?
Great that you don't have to source those items yourself!
If you search for SSD on this site you should find plenty of info about Renice and other SSDs that people have used. As long as it is the...
Welcome to TabletPCBuzz!
The link you have is to an LE1600 cable and that is different from the LE1700. We offer the LE1700 ZIF cable here but we're out of stock right now with no ETA from Motion...
There is nothing I like better than passionate tablet people! I'm going to close the thread because I think that everything that needs to be said, has been said.

Did the tablet come with installation CDs? I know a lot of them don't but you should be able to find the Journal.exe file if you have them.
