I don't recall seeing good viewing angles on any of the Android tablets. This one was so light though, I think it would be less of a problem to hold it at a good angle. It's those 2+ pound windows slates that really need the good viewing angle, as you'd want to set them down to use them. The Archos does have a very adjustable built in kickstand to help get it to a good angle too.

I understand that the viewing angles are horrible for this tablet.

An active pen makes for a great pointing device, and handwriting in the TIP is a good enough way to get words in (This reply is inked in from the TIP of my viliv X70). A physical keyboard is still nice for longer text inputs though. This machine with a Wacom digitizer would be pretty awesome. But yeah, a capacitive screen alone is not always accurate enough for good control of windows.

This is a great design for a Tablet PC device running Windows 7. Although Windows 7 has a touch screen interface, there are still too many applications that require a keyboard and pointing device to be used. Time will tell to see how durable the slide out keyboard is. More reviews at http://tabletpcdevices.com/tablet-reviews/

@digitaldoctors - hand down on the screen, like a real tablet! The 121 has a good hover distance, turning off touch as the pen comes in range.

Our industry has a long history of announcing and even showing pre-production units that never come to market. I agree with you that it is laughable that a device that doesn't even exist as a real, for-sale product can win awards. keep in mind, though, these awards are coming from the same media folks that there will be $987,000,000,000,000,000 worth of tablets sold in 2011.

Must be the apple style demo-- ooo its shiny! LOL PC users are a bit more hands on and prove it. however, I have run into the once in a while apple product user who actually evaluates items and complains about things like doesn't have flash.

Goodonya! Educate as many as you can. About 4 years ago I mentioned tablet PC to someone and they shot me down because of price stating what good is a unit like that for $1,000 more. they didn't even wait for me to explain how it could benefit! Inking is a great tool
