I don't know how legitimate this is, but on eBay is this Acer c110 selling for $1200. Those of you interested might want to check this out.

I will. I'm also somewhat unsure that it is legitimite since the price is so low. I'll probably give the person a call before sending money.

The user has been temporarily suspended from eBay. I'm not sure if I'm going ahead with the transaction. I may do so if others who have sent money receive the item.

I ended up not buying the Tablet from the seller. Nine other people did pay, and if anyone is interested, I'll let you know if any receive it.

I bought a 104CTI from someone else in Canada on eBay, so I don't need to worry about customs.

Just an update: To my knowledge no one has received any laptop from the seller, and the seller has given refunds. It appears it may of been a scam.

It's a shame. Seems like you can't buy anything on eBay lately without it being a scam.

I bought my C110 off of ebay, no scam involved. But, it seems like you just need to be smart... if the deal seems altogether true good to be true, it likely is.

I also went the extra step and contacted a couple of my sellers previous buyers on thier Acers (C104/102's) to be sure they really got what they bought, and contacted the seller before I bid. While not a 100% fool proof method to ensure a good transaction, there isn't much more you can do, short of not buy from outside of the US or your country of residence...

I bought my C110 on eBay for $1400, let's hope I will not get ripped off. I checked my seller's history and he had positive feedback from other buyers who purchased the Acer C1xx. I'll let you guys know when I receive it.

Yeah, I figured that one was fishy. I hadn't noticed that there was a thread on it until just now. I have family in Kissimmee, FL. and told the seller at the time that I'd buy both and have my brother pick up both items the next day if he'd be able to see them first.

I never got an answer.

Thats usually not a great sign
