Other than e-mail, have others moved from Outlook to TabletPlanner and remained happy with the feature set? I have six years with Outlook but am enjoying using Ink with TabletPlanner, as well as Daily Notes, forms capabilty, and the Ink search feature. However, I wonder if it is just infatuation? Being unimpressed with Outlook 2003, now seems a good time to switch. Has anyone made the switch and not regretted it?

I haven't completely abandoned Outlook calendar features. There are times I want a physical one page weekly print out in my pocket.

For the most part, my admin uses Outlook to administer my calendar. I almost exclusively use Tablet Planner for daily entry, to dos, etc.

I haven't used Outlook 2003, but I don't miss Outlook 2002.

Until they get email ability in planner, I will forever be in Outlook. I just do not like having to switch apps from email to calendar, etc. I use the drag and drop of Outlook a lot (drag an email about an appt. into calendar, etc.), so that would be hard to llive without now.

Planner will continue to improve, but Outlook is still a more robust product.

I've been using tablet planner for about 6 weeks and am hooked. Not only do I not not miss Outlook but feel that things are easier to access thru planner. I was never a big fan of Outlook 2002 and the 2003 beta actually seemed quirkier.

Tablet Planner's ability to handle ink and conversion is much smoother than even the One Note refresh. That coupled with the fact that I do not use Outlook to manage e-mail at work, makes this one an easy decision for me.

I'm relatively new to the Toshiba and tablets in general. I like what I seein Tablet Planner. In attempting to sync, the indicators say all is well, but there is no data (contacts) in Tablet Planner on completion and all of my contacts in Outlook are gone. I have done a reimport from a backup to get the contacts back but the same cycle repeats. No where in documentation do I see that sync'ing the two programs removes the data from Outlook.

Looking for suggestions.

Wcrocker,

You may have already done this, but check Sync Config to be sure data is being copied in the proper direction. Try setting Contacts to copy from Outlook to TabletPlanner only.

Good Luck

I'm with Dennis. I like to stay in one program to do as much as possible. Using two different programs for e-mail and calendar when I could just be using one, doesn't work to well for me. Plus, my planner needs are minimal right now so the advantages of using TabletPlanner aren't as strong for me.
