Anybody notice Outlook recurring appointment text is no longer visible after installing the Beta Refresh. Strange, if you use recurring appointments often, like I do, I wouldn't install the Refresh until a cure is found. Also, don't install the OneNote Refresh alone because Outlook 2003 beta will not function.

I installed the refresh before I read your post. I just checked no problem with recuring appointments for me.

Interesting... No problem in Calendar, Day/Week/Month, views? My Outlook Today view is O.K., but the others no text is visible, not even the recurring icon in the item.

Thanks for the reply, it offers hope that a display setting change I've made is the cause.

I've installed the refresh as well, no problems with recurring appointments here in any of those views.

I'm still not having any problems with recuring appointments being blank, but I am having problems forwarding mail. Messages that I've tried to forward this morning are coming through Blank. Also, some newsletter type messages that are formatted with HTML are also coming through blank. Messages that I originate rather than forward appear to be fine.

That's my story too. I've done a detect and repair resetting all defaults but still no luck with a fix. There is talk on other forums about invalid Beta Refresh files. Don't know if there is any truth to this though. My Beta Refresh version is (11.5329.5329).

If I find the fix I'll share...

I had the same issue with the calendar (only seeing contents of meetings in monthly view) and not seeing contents of forwarded messages when I loaded the software last night. I was on my wireless network at the time.

I came in to work this morning and hooked up to the LAN (100 Mbps) via the network card and all contents were displayed properly. You might want to try a different network connection and see if the additional bandwidth makes a difference.

I use MSN8 (paid service) and sync between Outlook 2003 and MSN8 using intellisync (version offered with MSN8 membership)

All worked perfectly UNTIL yesterday, after I installed the refresh- now - no go - cannot find the Outlook database.

Time to reinstall the beta without the refresh...

The fix for my "no text in recurring appointment items" was way to simple. I restarted Windows. My how Windows XP has made us forget the habit of restating.
